To me the word save, or saving, is a loaded word! I find myself doing a lot of it and thinking a lot about it. I could get all nerdy on you and give a few definitions.......well I just might do that.
Here you go, paraphrased from www.thefreedictionary.com:
1. To avoid spending money. I think budget here.
2. To avoid spending (time or $) in an amount less than what is normally require. I can get obsessive here....coupons, craigslist, sales, simplifying, organizing! Each plays a role in saving both time and money.
3. To set aside for future use. I set aside a portion of my appetite for future use on dessert all the time!
4. To set free from the consequences of sin. Simple, deep truth. There is only one who can do this.
5. To copy from a computer's main memory. I have a feeling if I keep up this blog I might be doing more of this.
What are you saving? Maybe a better question is what do you do to save? What do you spend most of your time saving for? Do you save room in your house by simplifying? How about saving room in your soul for the one and only?
We all save in different ways everyday. So if you would like to see what 'saving' looks like in everyday life, continue with me!
